Position Title: Sustainability Project Manager
Job Description: The Sustainability Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing corporate sustainability initiatives in property management, development, and asset management for the Bozzuto Group. These initiatives are centered on: Energy Efficiency, Energy Audits, Sustainable Retrofits including lighting upgrades, Green Innovations in Technology, and Employee and Resident Education and Communication.
Job Qualifications: Primary Responsibilities:

1. Sustainability

The position will be responsible for execution of a broad sustainability plan that will be tailored to fit many multifamily product types and the individual sustainability goals of 3rd party owners.

- Develop and implement a corporate education plan so that all Bozzuto employees, partners, and vendors share a common understanding of corporate sustainability initiatives.

- Work with the property managers and owners to evaluate and budget energy saving projects in conjunction with capital plans. Seek and collect any available government or utility company rebates available.

- Lead efforts of a working group of employees to move internal corporate sustainability efforts forward for all departments.

- Seek collaborative business relationships that integrate technology partners to meet tenant sustainable space needs.

- Craft a communication plan for all stake holders that disseminate trends, milestones and achievements.



2. Energy Management

The position will be responsible for setting goals and developing and implementing an energy and resource reduction plan. This includes but is not limited to procuring electricity and gas contracts, optimizing recycling and waste hauling services, and benchmarking utility consumption through Energy Star Dashboard.

Communicate all initiatives, benchmarking, and sustainability goals clearly to employees, residents, company officers and other stakeholders.

- Work with Property Management and Development and Construction and other departments to disseminate best practices concerning energy efficiency.

- Work with the development team to incorporate energy efficient and renewable energy technologies into new development projects.

- Monitor Federal, State and Local sustainable policies and programs and develop strategies to take advantage of those programs. Maintain an up to date list of incentive programs and rebates. Guide the preparation of applications for energy efficiency incentives and rebates.

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, engineering, environmental science or related field; MBA or Masters in Real Estate or Environmental Engineering preferred
1-3 years of experience in the green/sustainability space.
LEED AP Certification required, PMP Certification helpful.
Experience launching a sustainability initiative inside of a business.
Experience with stakeholder engagement, facilitating, and creation and tracking of sustainability metrics.
Experience training clients in sustainable practices strongly preferred.
