Position Title: Environment & Sustainability - FIDS - Senior Manager - SAN000YZ
Job Description: Responsibilities

The selected candidates will help grow our practice and manage or support multiple client engagement teams. Specific responsibilities will vary based on the individual's background and level. However, we are looking for individuals who can:

• Build client and internal relationships
• Identify business opportunities and lead proposal efforts
• Develop specific solutions for our clients based on the unique nature of each client and their industry
• Learn Ernst & Young's service offerings and help build cross functional and diverse teams to support client initiatives
• Manage projects with respect to deadlines and costs
• Develop and identify leading practices related to the environment and sustainability including the areas of climate change and safety
• Help clients develop strategies and processes to solve some of today's most challenging environmental and sustainability issues
• Help clients reduce costs or improve revenue by providing tactical recommendations for improved performance in the areas of environment and sustainability
• Develop protocols and perform corporate and field assessments of environmental, sustainability, safety, and security matters based on client requests. Individual should be familiar with assessment criteria (e.g., regulatory, voluntary and corporate) and their underlying requirements (e.g., air, water, waste, process safety management)
• Assess carbon footprints of facility operations and assess climate change practices
• Conduct audits and assessments of corporate sustainability reports using GRI and WRI as criteria
• Perform audits and assessments of environmental liabilities and other costs that might impact financial statements or business/property transactions
• Use and understand the latest technology consistent with our client's expectations
• Learn and apply requirements associated with the AICPA, IFAC and other financial and tax requirements as necessary
• Maintain your reputation as a subject matter professional through publication of thought leadership and presentations of existing and emerging areas (e.g., climate change regulation).
Job Qualifications: Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:

• BS in engineering or other technical or scientific degree (Bachelor's degree required, an advanced degree including MBA a plus). Approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a Master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
• Professional certification or the ability to obtain it in one year (e.g., CPEA, PE, CPA, CPG, LEED)
• Self-reliance, self-starter with the ability to solve complex problems and present solutions
• A strong understanding of quality and risk management procedures
• Have led or performed audits or assessments of regulatory, operational or financial matters at both the corporate and facility level
• Engineering experience (e.g., design or process operations)
• Experience in working with US environment and safety regulations. Candidate should be familiar with remediation requirements in RCRA and CERCLA, and with regulatory compliance requirements under US EPA and OSHA.
• Consulting or industry experience that is appropriate with the level
• Project management skills in staffing and leading teams that are on time and within budget. Ability to estimate project costs and timelines
• Ability to work in teams and assume leadership role as appropriate
• Outstanding communication skills and experience in writing and presenting to all levels of management
• Substantial knowledge of PC-based tools, including databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel.
